Emission Management

At Kimpur, we see emission management as a core part of our sustainability strategy under the heading “Climate Crisis and Carbon Management.” We adopt a systematic and transparent framework to measure and reduce our environmental impact in line with international standards.

We calculate our corporate carbon footprint in line with ISO 14064-1:2018 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol). This approach ensures our data are comparable, traceable and auditable across all operations.

  • Scope 1 (Direct): Stationary and mobile combustion at our facilities
  • Scope 2 (Indirect): Purchased electricity
  • Scope 3 (Value Chain): Raw material procurement, employee commuting, business travel

Our calculations cover our Gebze and Düzce production sites, Head Office, and our facility in Latvia, using the latest IPCC AR6 global warming potential factors.

Our emission management goes beyond measurement. We implement holistic and proactive strategies to reduce our footprint:

Energy efficiency initiatives: regular maintenance of equipment, waste heat recovery systems, improved insulation, and compressed air leak control

Renewable energy investments: increasing the share of solar and other clean sources

Resource efficiency & Zero Waste: recycling production waste to cut indirect emissions

Product-level impact analysis: life-cycle (LCA) assessments using third-party software

With these efforts, we continue to fight against the climate crisis by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and driving sustainable growth across our entire value chain.
