Eco-Friendly Slippers Made from Recycled PET Bottles

Our R&D Footwear Team has pioneered a significant breakthrough in sustainable material technology. By repurposing PET bottle waste into high-quality polyester polyol, we’ve crafted an eco-friendly raw material suitable for slipper production. These slippers retain the robust physical and mechanical properties of traditional polyurethane systems, ensuring there is no compromise on quality or performance.

We successfully produce approximately 20% of our polyester polyol using recycled PET waste, with another 17% derived from bio-based materials. This approach not only reduces plastic waste but also leverages renewable resources, making our production process more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Innovative Systems: Harnessing Compatibility with New Generation Blowing Agents

Introducing the Advanced KIMcool® Refrigerator System

Introducing our latest innovation in refrigeration technology: the KIMcool® refrigerator system, designed to harmonize seamlessly with new generation bloing agents. With our cutting-edge energy-efficient insulation, we’ve achieved up to 15% energy savings compared to traditional systems.

By incorporating state-of-the-art refrigerants, our KIMcool® system not only preserves your food but also helps preserve the planet. In fact, by using our energy-efficient insulation, a single refrigerator can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 77 kg annually. To put that into perspective, 77 kg of CO2 emissions is equivalent to the emissions produced by an average diesel car traveling approximately 370 km.

Experience the future of refrigeration with KIMcool® where sustainability meets innovation.

Solar Power Elevated: KIMrigid® Solar Energy and Boiler Systems

Kimpur is committed to a sustainable future, continuously improving product lifecycles. We’ve recently expanded our sustainable product portfolio with two new additions: KIMrigid® Solar Energy and Boiler systems, featuring eco-friendly blowing agents.

Our KIMrigid® systems offer superior insulation, ushering energy into the future, while minimizing environmental impact with HFO and water-based blowing agents. With KIMrigid® Solar Panel and Boiler Systems, you can heat water using energy from nature and reduce heat loss with the boiler.

Sustainable Technologies: Graphene Innovations in Insulation and Seating

As global population and consumption rise, the need for sustainable production alternatives becomes more critical. In response, businesses are adopting innovative recycling practices to reduce environmental impacts throughout product life cycles. In particular, the concept of recycling has manifested itself despite the risk of depletion of natural resources. The intent of recycling is to use resources in the most efficient way, to use wastes generated as a result of the production process as input by reintroducing them into the economy, and to prevent them from causing environmental problems.

Our R&D Flexible Team uses graphene obtained from the recycling of automotive tire wastes in order to increase the performance of both KIMflex® Sound Insulation System, which has high mechanical properties and is used for sound insulation in the automotive sector, and KIMflex® HR Foam Systems used in the production of office and automotive seats In this way, sustainable resources succeeded in contributing to both nature and circular economy. We collaborate with Nanografen Co that produces graphene from waste tires. Nanografen is the only manufacturer that produces graphene from waste tires in pilot scale with the joint partner of waste tire pyrolysis company. We achieve to integrate graphene at very low loadings in polyurethane systems by providing significant enhancement in insulation properties.

Graphene-Based Sound Insulation System

Light vehicle design has gained major importance in the automotive industry in order to save energy. With composite parts used in new
generation vehicles, fuel consumption is reduced by making the vehicle lighter.

Hence, it is known that polyurethane systems, with their lightness feature, provide loss of weight in vehicles and create less emissions with less use of energy. Therefore, polyurethane systems are frequently preferred in the automotive industry, from vehicle seat production to sound insulation. Graphene, being defined as the miracle material of recent years, has further strengthened this feature of polyurethane foam Thanks to their lightness, graphene based polyurethane foams increase the performance of sound insulation without affecting the total weight of the car. As a result of studies performed, it has been determined that graphene based sound insulation systems provide up to 65% improvement in sound absorption compared to standard systems.

Graphene-Based High Performance HR Foam Systems

By utilizing graphene, a carbon based recycling material obtained from automotive tires, in the production of HR Foam Systems used in the production of automotive and office seats, We improve the mechanical properties of our products without requiring the use of extra materials, while both preventing material consumption and reducing carbon dioxide emissions in its production. Improvements in the mechanical properties of HR foam systems obtained with the use of graphene compared to standard systems were observed, and the test results are given in Table 2.
