UN Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations has invited all organizations to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to resolve fundamental global issues by the end of 2030. Through this initiative, public and private sector organizations, as well as civil society initiatives, can operate with a focused approach aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Below, we present our contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals within this framework:

  • Sustainable Compensation Policy: Through our total reward management policy—developed with consideration for internal equity and market conditions—we offer our employees a sustainable income structure.

  • Benefits and Supportive Practices: In addition to base salary adjustments that take inflation rates into account, we enhance employee well-being through distinctive fringe benefits.

  • Ethical and Fair Approach: Within the framework of Kimpur’s Code of Ethics, we respect human rights and fulfill our financial obligations (such as taxes and invoicing) in a timely and fair manner

  • Community Support: On April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, we supported the needs and happiness of children at the Darüşşafaka Society by gifting them shoesmproduced with our KIMfoot® systems.
  • Food Preservation Solutions: With our KIMcool® systems, which offer high insulation performance for the refrigerator and cold room sectors, we contribute to keeping food fresh for longer and storing it safely.

  • We Embrace the Principles: We are a signatory of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), which support women’s empowerment and equal representation. We are also a participant in the BADV Project, which aims to create a safe workplace against domestic violence, and we openly declare our commitment to this cause.

  • Inclusive Corporate Language: To raise awareness of gender equality within the company, we implemented a “correct terminology” approach in both internal communications and corporate messaging; accordingly, we prepared and shared an Inclusive Language Guide.

  • Awareness Training: On March 8, we held a training session for all employees to raise awareness on gender equality and support the empowerment of our female employees in their career journeys.

  • Water Footprint Monitoring: We regularly measure and monitor our water footprint to reduce the environmental impact of our operations.

  • Awareness Initiatives: We regularly send informational emails to our employees to raise awareness about water conservation, believing that individual efforts contribute to greater organizational impact.
  • Use of Renewable Energy: We utilize renewable energy sources through the Solar Energy Systems (SES) installed at our Gebze and Düzce production facilities, helping to reduce our carbon footprint.

  • Development of Energy-Efficient Products:
    – Our high-performance KIMrigid® systems, developed for the construction sector, contribute to reduced energy consumption by providing thermal insulation in buildings.
KIMrigid® systems used in the insulation of products such as refrigerators, cold rooms,
solar panels, and boilers in the heating and cooling sector enhance energy efficiency.

  • Efficiency-Focused Projects: To achieve energy savings, we implement various efficiency projects in our production and operational processes, supporting our sustainable manufacturing goals.
  • Safe and Healthy Work Environment: We provide a safe and healthy working environment for our employees by ensuring full compliance with occupational health and safety procedures across all our operations.

  • Fair Compensation: We implement a fair and transparent compensation policy by integrating annual performance evaluations into our structured salary system, which considers employees’ titles and seniority levels.

  • Responsible Supply Chain: Before establishing cooperation with our suppliers, we carry out a preliminary evaluation process that includes criteria such as environmental protection, human rights, and occupational health and safety.

  • Sustainable Economic Growth: As of 2024, we have achieved a 48% increase in our export volume, strengthening our economic sustainability
  • Innovative Production Infrastructure: We have completed the necessary infrastructure work at our Düzce production facility for the manufacturing of polyester polyol derived from recycled PET waste.

  • Sustainable Product Development: We have expanded our range of sustainable products.

  • Environmentally Friendly Facilities:
    – Renewable energy is utilized through Solar Energy Systems (SES) installed at our Düzce and Gebze production facilities.
    – Our Gebze facility is certified with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, confirming its compliance with environmental and energy management standards.
    – Our headquarters holds a LEED Certificate, meeting energy efficiency and environmentally friendly building standards.
  • Equal Opportunity-Based Human Resources Approach: In line with Kimpur’s Ethical Business Principles, we ensure equal opportunity in all HR processes—including recruitment, interviews, performance evaluations, career planning, promotions, training and development, and compensation—while implementing a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination.

  • Fair Compensation Practices: Taking into account the economic conditions of the societies in which our employees live, we aim to reduce income inequality by applying wage adjustment policies that particularly consider inflation increases.
  • Fire Safety and Resistance: By enhancing the fire resistance properties of panels produced with KIMrigid® Sandwich Panel Systems, we ensure fire and smoke safety in buildings.

  • High Insulation Performance: KIMrigid® Sandwich Panel and Spray Foam Systems increase the energy efficiency of buildings, reducing carbon emissions while providing sustainable comfort in living spaces.

  • Materials Supporting Transportation: In the production of KIMflex® Sound Insulation Systems and HR foam systems used in the automotive sector, we utilize graphene—a lightweight material derived from automotive tire waste—which helps reduce vehicle weight. This contributes to energy efficiency and indirectly supports the longevity of road infrastructure.

  • Low-Density Systems: For the footwear, automotive, and furniture industries, we offer low-density systems that deliver energy savings during both the production process and product lifecycle, while also enhancing product performance.
  • Product Development with Recycled Raw Materials:
    – Through our KIMfoot® slipper system project developed using polyol synthesized from waste PET bottles, we contributed to both plastic waste recovery and sustainable product design.
    – By incorporating graphene derived from waste automotive tires into KIMflex® systems, we promote the use of recycling-focused materials.
    – With our KIMcase® binder systems that enable the reuse of materials such as waste tires and shredded foam, we reduce industrial waste and create opportunities for secondary use.

  • Bio-Based Raw Materials:
    – By working with renewable raw materials instead of fossil-based chemicals, we developed KIMrigid® sandwich panel systems containing bio-based polyols. Through this system, we aim to reduce the carbon footprint and support sustainable production.
