2030 Climate Change Roadmap

At Kimpur, we have set a comprehensive roadmap to fulfill our responsibility in combating climate change. Our 2030 Climate Change Roadmap encompasses strategic areas such as material innovation, operational excellence and digitalization, energy saving and transformation, emissions and waste management, collaborations, and supply chain management.

This roadmap contains the short, medium, and long-term goals we have set in the fight against climate change, and it presents the strategies we plan to implement in detail to achieve these goals. This strategic plan, which we have developed in our fight against climate change, will serve as an important compass guiding us toward our goal of creating a sustainable world. By the year 2030, we aim to substantially reduce our carbon emissions, boost our energy efficiency, and elevate environmental sustainability as a core focus in all our operations.

Scenario Analysis Usage

RCP 2.6 (Optimistic Scenario): Sea level rise may remain at a limited level. Pressure on port infrastructures will be low. Extreme weather events will be much less severe compared to other scenarios. Decarbonization policies are stricter, and the use of low-carbon fuels may increase transition costs.

RCP 4.5 (Moderate Scenario): Sea level rise may significantly increase, with the frequency and intensity of storms leading to delays, damages, and higher insurance costs in sea traffic. Moderate carbon taxes and emission trading systems may be applied, which could increase transportation costs.

RCP 8.5 (Pessimistic Scenario): Dramatic sea level rise and storms seriously threaten port cities like Southeast Asia, causing frequent disruptions to transportation. Radical emission restrictions, though delayed in the transition process, could rapidly increase transportation costs.

*Current actions are planned according to the RCP 4.5 Moderate Scenario; the year plan will be updated according to the optimistic and pessimistic scenarios.
