UN Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations has invited all organizations to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to resolve fundamental global issues by the end of 2030. Through this initiative, public and private sector organizations, as well as civil society initiatives, can operate with a focused approach aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Below, we present our contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals within this framework:

  • We make our total reward management policy sustainable for employees based on internal balances and market competition.
  • We provide employees not only with base wage adjustments but also with side benefits that make a difference, taking into account inflation data.
  • We respect human rights within the scope of Kimpur Ethics and pay taxes and bills fairly and on time.
  • During the earthquakes in Turkey on February 6, we supported the earthquake victims in the region through AFAD and AHBAP.
  • We donated winter boots for the needs of earthquake-stricken children.
  • We contribute to the long-lasting use of foods with the KIMrigid® systems we provide to the refrigerator and cold room sector.
  • We create internal and external social incentives regarding the prevention of food waste.
  • We provide food support to stray animals during the winter months.
  • We provide private health insurance to all employees.
  • We provide psychological support to employees with the Avita program.
  • We implement Occupational Health and Safety Procedures and conduct internal audits and training at regular intervals.
  • We issue private life insurance policies for our white-collar employees and personal accident insurance policies for our blue-collar employees.
  • We organized a campaign in Istanbul Marathon in collaboration with Darüşşafaka to support the education of earthquake-stricken children.
  • We organized 6,630 hours of training considering employee needs
  • We provided long-term scholarship support to 40 university students in our 40th year.
  • We donated Environmentalist Children’s Education Sets so that students can learn about zero-waste living and increase their awareness.
  • With the Be Sensitive Project, we increased our employees’ awareness of environmental improvements that they can implement in their offices and daily lives.
  • In cooperation with KEDV (Foundation for the Support of Women’s Labor), we made a donation to meet the urgent needs of women affected by the earthquake and to help them rebuild their lives.
  • We participated in the Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum, Business Against Domestic Violence project.
  • We organized support sessions for women on Women’s Day with the Avita Support Program.
  • We made a commitment to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
  • We provided training to our staff to be careful about water consumption.
  • We completed the conditioned water project.
  • We aim to meet approximately 20% of our energy from renewable energy with the Solar Power Plant that has been put into operation in our Gebze production facility, and 55% of our energy from the Solar Power Plant that has been completed in our Düzce production facility.
  • We produce high-performance KIMrigid® systems that are used for insulation purposes in the building-construction sector and provide energy savings.
  • We produce KIMrigid® systems that are used in the insulation of products such as refrigerators, cold rooms, solar panels and boilers in the heating-cooling sector and enable energy saving.
  • Yapı-inşaat sektöründe yalıtım amaçlı kullanılan, enerji tasarrufu sağlayan yüksek performanslı KIMrigid® sistemlerini üretiyoruz.
  • Isıtma-soğutma sektöründe buzdolabı, soğuk oda, güneş enerjisi paneli ve boiler gibi ürünlerin yalıtımında kullanılan ve enerji tasarrufuna olanak sağlayan KIMrigid® sistemlerini üretiyoruz.
  • We act in accordance with occupational health and safety procedures to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our employees.
  • We provide employment in the region with our newly opened Düzce factory.
  • We apply fair compensation to employees according to the title and grade system and annual performance evaluation.
  • Before collaborating with our suppliers, we evaluate issues such as environment, human rights, etc. with a preliminary evaluation form.
  • We achieved 36% quantitative growth in sales volume and 17% in exports.
  • We moved our head office to a LEED Certified environmentally friendly building.
  • We use renewable energy with solar power plants in our production facilities.
  • We produce sustainable products that lead the sector.
  • We opened the production facility in Düzce and put the first phase into operation.
  • In line with KimpurEthic Business Rules adopted in all processes of Kimpur, we offer equal opportunities in recruitment processes, interviews, performance measurement and evaluation, career planning, promotion system, training and development programs and applied wage policy.
  • We apply raise rates depending on the increase in inflation in the society in which our employees live.
  • We offer fire and smoke safety features by increasing the fire resistance of panels where KIMrigid® Sandwich Panel Systems are used.
  • We provide energy savings by increasing the insulation performance of buildings with KIMrigid® Sandwich Panel and KIMrigid® Spray Foam systems.
  • In the production of KIMflex® Sound Insulation System and HR foam system used in the automotive sector, we use graphene, a very light material obtained from automotive tire waste, to make the automotive lighter and thus to ensure that the roads have a longer life.
  • We offer low-density systems that will save energy both during and after production in product groups (such as shoes, automotive, furniture) and increase the quality of product performances.
  • We have implemented the KIMfoot® slipper system project using polyol synthesized from waste PET bottles.
  • We have implemented the project of using graphene obtained from waste automotive tires in KIMflex® systems.
  • We support the circular economy by producing KIMcase® binder systems for the use of waste tires and sponge scraps.
  • We have determined our Roadmap to Combat the Climate Crisis.
  • We have completed the infrastructure work for Product Life Cycle Calculations.
  • We are conducting surveys measuring the environmental and social impacts of our suppliers.
  • With the graphene-based KIMflex® HR Foam and Sound Insulation Systems used in automotive production, we enable the reduction of automotive weight, thus contributing to the reduction of energy use and emission formation with less fuel consumption in vehicles.
  • With KIMcase® coating products, we obtain products with lower weight and thus contribute to the reduction of fuel use, energy use and CO2 emissions.
  • With our KIMrigid® and KIMspray® products used in the heating-cooling and construction sectors, we contribute to the consumer’s energy savings.
  • Among the projects focused on decarbonization and green transformation, 2 European Union project applications have been completed, and the preliminary preparations for 1 SAYEM project have begun.
  • As part of our IPG commitments, we prevented the use of 260 tons of plastic by ensuring that IBC packaging was rewashed in 2023.
  • We carried out coastal cleaning in cooperation with Turmepa (Deniz Temiz Derneği).
  • We utilize PET waste in the production of our shoe systems.
  • We donated saplings to our memorial forest on behalf of all our employees.

  • We cooperated with Darüşşafaka for the education of children affected by the earthquake.
  • We sponsored the Antakya Civilizations Choir concert in cooperation with the İstanbul Health and Education Volunteers Association to build a school in the earthquake region.
  • We fulfilled our commitments as a signatory to the Business World Plastic Initiative.
  • We participated in SKD Türkiye’s DO Project to implement environmentally friendly practices in our office areas and to raise awareness among our employees.
