Sustainability Management

Within the scope of our Sustainability Management Structure; we have a committee that manages sustainability-related issues within Kimpur in an effective, rapid and holistic manner and reports to the Board of Directors.

Our Sustainability Committee operates under the leadership of the CEO and comprises senior executives from various departments.

The Sustainability Committee provides the necessary platform for a comprehensive approach to sustainability, involving all stakeholders across environmental, social, and governance axes.

Our Environmental Management System (EMS) Committee works to support and enhance environmentally conscious production processes. Guided by the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, the committee plays critical roles such as developing policies to reduce environmental impacts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and raising employee awareness.

Committee Activities

The committee meets regularly to make crucial decisions that support the achievement of our sustainability goals. The following key topics are addressed during meetings:

  • Evaluation of EMS targets and setting new goals
  • Reporting environmental incidents and determining preventive measures
  • Reviewing changes in legal regulations
  • Planning environmental training programs
  • Assessing environmental impact through environmental dimension evaluation lists and reviewing changes
  • Taking action on identified risks

Kimpur’s Energy Management Committee supports the company’s sustainability vision by operating in compliance with the ISO 50001 Energy Management System standard. The committee undertakes strategic initiatives to enhance energy efficiency, optimize energy consumption, and reduce our carbon footprint.

The Committee holds regular meetings to continuously improve energy performance and ensure compliance with ISO 50001 standards. Key focus areas include:

  • Goals and Performance: Monitoring energy performance indicators and setting improvement targets
  • Project Management: Planning and implementing projects to enhance energy efficiency
  • Legal and Other Requirements: Ensuring compliance with ISO 50001 and other regulatory requirements
  • Training and Awareness: Organizing training sessions and awareness programs to promote energy consciousness
  • Risk Management and Actions: Analyzing energy-related risks and taking actions
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Evaluating feedback and suggestions from relevant stakeholders

With a commitment to prioritizing the safety and health of our employees above all else, we carry out comprehensive activities through our Occupational Health and Safety Committee. The Committee aims to minimize workplace risks, provide a safe working environment for our employees, and ensure compliance with legal obligations.

Committee Activities

In alignment with the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, our Committee meets regularly to ensure workplace safety and prevent occupational accidents. The committee fulfills the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing, implementing, and monitoring occupational health and safety policies
  • Assessing workplace hazards and risks and determining necessary precautions
  • Investigating workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and reporting preventive measures
  • Planning and delivering OHS training programs for employees
  • Preparing annual OHS evaluation reports
  • Developing emergency action plans for situations such as fires, natural disasters, and sabotage, and monitoring team activities
  • Planning the maintenance and control processes of workplace safety equipment
  • Evaluating organizational and environmental factors that impact occupational health and safety

Aligned with Kimpur’s forward-looking vision, our Digitalization Committee aims to leverage digital technologies to make our processes more efficient, agile, and swift. The committee undertakes strategic initiatives to enhance operational excellence, optimize business processes, and implement digital transformation projects.

The Digitalization Committee meets regularly to strengthen Kimpur’s technological infrastructure and accelerate its digitalization journey, focusing on the following activities:

  • Defining and implementing digital transformation strategies.
  • Improving digital processes and developing automation projects across the company.
  • Conducting initiatives to elevate the company’s digital maturity level.
  • Analyzing the existing technological infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Monitoring the performance of digital projects and carrying out continuous improvement efforts.
  • Researching and implementing software, hardware, and system solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Developing and applying strategies for data security and cybersecurity.

Kimpur operates under the principle of adhering to the highest ethical standards and full compliance with legal regulations. Our Ethics and Compliance Committee plays a critical role in ensuring the implementation of Kimpur’s Ethical Business Conduct Principles and managing corporate compliance processes.

The Ethics and Compliance Committee holds regular meetings to ensure that employees, business partners, and all stakeholders act in alignment with our ethical values. The committee undertakes the following activities:

  • Defining, reviewing, and implementing Kimpur’s Ethical Principles and Compliance Policies.
  • Preparing and delivering training programs on ethical behavior guidelines for employees and business partners.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.
  • Investigating reports of ethical violations and taking necessary actions.
  • Promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability in business processes.
  • Establishing and monitoring a secure and confidential communication mechanism for reporting ethical violations.
  • Assessing internal compliance and ethical risks and implementing preventive measures.

As a company committed to social and environmental responsibility, Kimpur prioritizes Corporate Social Responsibility in all its activities. Our Committee works to implement our own projects while collaborating with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to enhance social and environmental impact.

Roles and Activities of the Committee

The Committee meets regularly to design and implement projects that aim to make a difference in social, environmental, and economic areas. The primary activities of the committee include:

  • Defining and implementing Kimpur’s social responsibility strategy.
  • Researching and supporting projects led by local NGOs in areas such as education, environment, health, and public benefit, as well as developing new initiatives.
  • Implementing support programs for disadvantaged groups, children, youth, and women.
  • Creating programs to encourage employees to participate in volunteer projects.
