Halogen-Free, Bio-Based Sandwich Panel System from Kimpur

Kimpur, the 100% domestic polyurethane system house with Turkey’s largest capacity and sales volume, continues to develop its environmentally friendly and innovative product portfolio. Kimpur launched an environmentally friendly, halogen-free, bio-based sandwich panel system at the Middle East Foam and Polyurethane Utech Expo, one of the leading fairs of the global polyurethane industry, which is held in Dubai.

Kimpur, one of the leading companies in the polyurethane sector with its 39 years of experience, continues its efforts to develop environmentally friendly products for a better future with its sustainability-oriented approach.

Kimpur has developed KIMrigid® Sandwich Panel Systems for the production of polyurethane foam, which allows safe and sustainable structures to be obtained with high fire resistance and excellent thermal insulation properties in buildings. With its system also called Green PIR, Kimpur provides its customers with the opportunity to produce different panel types quickly and efficiently; presented its eco-friendly, halogen-free, bio-based Sandwich Panel system to its visitors and industry professionals at the launch at the conference in Dubai.

Emrah Akbaş, the R&D Manager of Kimpur, emphasized that the KIMrigid PIR Sandwich Panel System contributes to sustainable product management and provides maximum advantage and makes a difference in the sector and stated that: “We direct our work by making sustainability our first priority in all our product designs. We used at least 20 percent bio-containing material in the PIR system we designed. The entire product is halogen-free and has much lower emissions than conventional systems.”

Kimpur, which has been certified as an R&D Center by the Ministry of Industry and Technology since May 2017, will continue to produce sustainable and high value-added products with its 27 R&D employees who are experts in the sector.
