Kimpur climbs 93 steps in ISO 500 List

Chemical industry company Kimteks Poliuretan Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which is among the 500 largest industrial companies in Turkey, (KİMPUR) jumped 93 steps and ranked 221st in the ‘Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises Research-2021’ list prepared by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO).

The polyurethane systems manufactured by company are used in different sectors such as footwear, automotive, furniture, heating-cooling, and insulation-construction. Kimpur has a remarkable place in the 2021 list of Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises research, which has been carried out continuously since 1968 by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, which creates the most valuable data for the sector. Drawing attention with its investments in Turkey and Europe and its successful public offering in April, Kimpur rose 93 steps to 221st place.

Sustainability-focused investments

Taking important steps for a sustainable world with its investments and carrying out the groundbreaking ceremony of the Düzce production facility within the scope of these steps, Kimpur, with the GES investment of the facility; aims to strengthen its competitive structure in export and domestic markets by reducing energy costs in production. Within the scope of its sustainability goals, it aims to meet approximately 55% of the total electricity consumption with this investment, as well as to reduce approximately 679 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

Kimpur, one of the leading companies in the polyurethane sector with its 39-year long history, made its public offering with the sale of 27.15 percent shares last April, and signed one of the biggest offerings of recent years.
